Highlands- Little Man Ice Cream

1 / 1

Highland, LoHi, Berkeley and Sunnyside

Victorian-era homes and buildings; lush gardens and parks; hip independently owned shops; art galleries; and restaurants, all make the Denver Highland neighborhood a great destination for visitors. There are three diverse districts to discover: Highlands SquareTennyson Street and Lower Highland (LoHi).

Boutiques, wine shops and bookstores, as well as popular restaurants and bars radiate out from Highlands Square on West 32nd Avenue and Lowell Boulevard. LoHi is characterized by a mix of old and ultra-modern architecture, some of the city's most innovative restaurants and bars and incredible views of the Highland Bridge and downtown Denver.

The Tennyson Street Cultural District is located between 38th and 46th avenues in Berkeley, and the history of the neighborhood is a rich and varied one. Today, it’s a vibrant collection of thriving small businesses, world-class restaurants, contemporary art, tattoo and jewelry galleries, trendy fashion outfitters, and coveted music institutions. Don't miss the Tennyson Street First Friday Art Walk, the Tennyson Street Fair, Berkeley Beer Festival and the Tennyson Fall Festival. These annual events bring together the community for a multi-avenue block party!

Note: To simplify things, the places mentioned in this guide are found in several adjoining neighborhoods: Highland, Berkeley, Sunnyside and Sloan Lake. They share a similar laid-back vibe with tree-lined streets.
